SGI currently has two transitional houses in the Philippines which provide a home for 16 survivors. Our services include safe housing, life-skills training, case management, and access to educational and vocational opportunities.
There are no specialized, long-term shelters for human trafficking survivors in the capitol city, Santo Domingo. Our partner International Justice Mission opened its Santo Domingo office in 2013, rescuing over 60 survivors, and have identified many clients with no safe housing options who risk being re-trafficked. We will open our first home in 2017.
